1. Rapportive

Claim: Rapportive shows you everything about your contacts right inside your inbox.

Rapportive pulls up information such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook from your email contacts. It also works well when you are unsure about someone’s email address. If you type in the correct one, their information and perhaps a picture of them will show up on the side. Another benefit is that Rapportive autofills contact information including your address, phone number, email address, and such when you are filling out forms online.

2. Turn Off the Lights

Claim: The entire page will be fading to dark, so you can watch the video as if you were in the cinema.

For all of the YouTube addicts out there, Turn Off The Lights is a simple and useful app that increases the video watching quality. It dims the rest of the screen so you can see whatever video you are watching with more clarity. That way you also focus your attention on the actual video and not whatever is around it. Simple but useful!

3. Tab Packager

Claim: Tab packager turns your open tabs into one super short link!

I am always the kind of person who has so many tabs open that I can’t even see all of them above the main navigation bar. I surf the internet and have no patience to read articles one by one, I simply load them all up and save the links to everything on Word documents… very 90s and inefficient, I know. Tab packager  gives you a general link for all those other websites. This is definitely the most practical extension!

4. Evernote Web

Claim: Evernote helps you remember everything across all the computers, phones and tablets you use.

I love Evernote. Once you get used to making to-do lists, chart, and classifying random notes you can’t stop. My favorite part about Evernote is that is synchronizes automatically and you don’t have to worry about clicking “Save.” You can also access the information stored on Evernote from any computer as long as it has the program. Google Chrome has the Evernote Web extension where you can “clip” web pages and organize them into notes.

5. LastPass

Claim: LastPass is, simply put, one of the best secure password managers and generators around.

LastPass is the perfect tool for individuals who have different passwords for different websites and have trouble remembering them. All of your passwords are locked under one master password. LastPass can also autofill the passwords onto websites you’ve saved passwords for. You can access LastPass on your smartphone and it has fingerprint verification and other features to maintain its safety. This extension also helps you generate the safest passwords.
